A carefully identified Six Sigma project could provide a significant annual cost benefit to the organization. While the exact savings will, of course, depend on the size of the organization, it is not uncommon for a typical “Black Belt” project to envisage a potential annual cost benefit ranging from Rs. 1.0 crore to Rs. 5 crore

As such, there is a definite need to carry out each Six Sigma project in a disciplined well planned manner in the shortest possible time. Having recognized this need, DSS has developed “Solutions Process”, a software product which enables the Green Belts and Black Belts to complete a Six Sigma project with ease in a well planned and efficient manner. The product may be used as desktop based software by individuals or the multi-user networked version may be used on a corporate network.

“Solutions Process” has the following salient features:
Standard Process: Facility to create a standard process to be used company wide for each Six Sigma project. An example of such a process would be the standard DMAIC process wherein each of the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control stages may be further split into activities, e.g. Define stage could be divided into the following activities :
Map the process/es
Draw SIPOC (Supplier-Input-Process-Output-Customer) diagram
Identify “key process output variables”, measure and define the base line
